The Town of Brandon Recreation Department is once again partnering with the Otters Wrestling Club to offer a youth wrestling program. Join our Coaches for another fun and exciting wrestling season!
As a feeder program for the Otter Valley Union High School, who has a rich history of wrestling prominence, we focus on the following goals:
- To teach wrestling techniques and fundamentals .
- To promote respect of parents, teachers, coaches and team mates.
- To promote great sportsmanship.
- To have Fun
Practices held in the OVUHS Wrestling room located in the garage space on the northwestern corner of the school property. Per the RNESU school rules: only wrestlers and recreation department approved wrestling coaches will be allowed inside the building. Drop-off and pick-up will be conducted outside. Parents may wait in the parking spots on the northern side of the school.
***We are offering some OPTIONAL preseason practices in December and January on the following dates: 12/04, 12/11, 12/15, 12/23, 12/29, 01/07, 01/13, 01/20, 01/28. These will run from 6:45-7:45 after the varsity practice has finished. Our normal season will start in February, and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:15 and will continue through most of March.
