Brandon Idol - Auditions

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 12:00 AM ON December 1st.
ONLY 20 AUDITION SPACES AVAILABLE

The opportunity of a lifetime, your chance to grab that golden ticket, that brass ring on the carousel! Brandon Idol!
 
Are you a singer? Shower singer? Shy singer? Young singer? Old singer? Do you have what it takes to make the audience scream for more?  Brandon Idol is an opportunity to sing, improve, get time in front of an audience, showcase your talent and win some big money!
 
How does this work?
Prepare a song of your choice. Practice! Sing in front of an audience with a backing track and judges at the Brandon Town Hall on Jan 26th.
 
If you are chosen as one of our finalists, you’ll perform with our Brandon Idol Live Band at the Town Hall on specified dates having picked a song from that nights genre.

Concert Schedule with Genres:
January 26th - Audition Concert - Singer's Choice
February 23nd - GENRE TBD
March 22nd - GENRE TBD
April 19th - GENRE TBD
May 17th - THE FINALS (Your Choice)

Build your fan base as you encourage people to come cheer you on, until the final event at the Brandon Town Hall. The February, March and April concerts will feature a "Crowd Favorite" cash prize. 

The May final will be professionally adjudicated and the 2023 Brandon Idol winner will walk away with $1000.00 BUT even if you don't win you will still have built a fan base, logged some face time in front of big audiences and honed your skills for the next competition.  PLUS All finalists will have the choice to get paid to perform at the "Brandon Idol Night" at this year's Brandon Carnival!!


Rules:
  • Singers must be 16 or older (as of January 1, 2024).
  • If chosen on Jan 26th, singers should be available to perform at each of the specified dates. 
  • Singers will sing a song from the genres as picked for the February, March, and April performances. The band reserves the right to substitute a song choice. Singer's choice for the January tryout and May final.
  • Singers are responsible for costumes and practice options. Brandon Rec will supply sound support, band and stage.
