Are you ready for a spooky kickoff to the Halloween Season? How about a chance to see all the decorations and vendors in Salem before the masses arrive?
The Grand Parade is on Thursday, Oct 3 at 6pm in Salem. This is the time that all the locals get out to see everything before tourists start rolling in. According to my sources, this is the best time to come, because all the decorations are up, all the shops are geared up, and this parade is fantastic. Plus, my girl Robyn will be giving us a list of all the most current tours and opportunities the week before the trip, so you'll have time to prebook activities independently,or jump on everything you want to do the day of the trip!
On this trip, you'll arrive in Salem in the morning, have an opportunity for a full day of touring, shopping, snacking, admiring the decorations, maybe have a little witches brew, get a little history and wind up seeing the most magnificent Halloween parade on the East Coast! Then, after the parade, we will leisurely return to the bus to head home, tired but completely in the Spirit of Halloween! You'll save yourself the hassle of driving, the hassle of parking, all the hassles you can imagine!
As with all of our trips, you are able to bring beverages and snacks on the bus, pillows and blankets, which you can leave on the bus. You won't be able to access the bus during the day, but everything will be safely locked up. And, if you buy a ton of stuff, you can store it under the bus in the luggage compartment for the ride home.
There are no refunds for this trip. This trip will depart and return to the Rutland Rec Parking lot at 134 Community Drive, Rutland VT 05701 (The old CSJ parking lot with plenty of parking!) We will leave at 7am, arrive in Salem around 10:30am, leave Salem at 9pm and arrive back in Rutland around 12:30am on Friday Oct 4. Yes, you'll be tired but what a fantastic event!
