Archery at Estabrook - Spring 2026 Session
Have you always wanted to tap into your inner Robin Hood and work on your bow skills? Thanks to seasoned Instructor Melinda Hardt, you can!Ages 8 and up can participate in a 4 week course at Estabrook field (across from softball field)Type of bow - Recurve (provided by instructor) or bring your ownEquipment (Provided)- Recurve Bows, Arrows w/Field tips, Targets.Program breakdown-Week 1- Introduction of equipment and range, rules and safety guidelines, basic form.Week 2- Review of Safety Rules, Stance and form work, gameWeek 3- Practice Shooting, individual tips and assessments, gameWeek 4- Practice Shooting, Balloon shoot.About the Instructor: Melinda Hardt has been instructing and designing Archery classes for youth since 2007. She started teaching the basics at an outdoor science school in California. She was trained by an Olympic level Archer, and obtained her level 1 Archery certification. She designed and orchestrated year-round archery classes and a continuing Summer Camp program as well. She went on to obtain a level 2 USA Archery certification and has taught Archery programs all over the country. She currently runs her own Archery business in Vermont providing amazing programming for youth in Rutland and Addison County. She is also available for birthday parties, homeschool groups and more! Melinda Hardt is a certified level 2 USA Archery Trainer Instructor, certified in Wilderness First Aid, and CPR.*need based scholarships available upon request*
