Welcome to the Vendor Application for the July 6th, 2024 Brandon Independence Day Parade!This is the ONLY place where you will be able to register to sell at the parade. Some guidelines:Exclusivity of product offering is not guaranteed.*No refunds. If due to a change in circumstances you are unable to attend, please contact community@brandonvermont.gov as soon as possible. *No confederate or nazi symbols, flags or memorabilia. If you have these on your display, you will be asked to leave and no money will be refunded. *No sale of weapons allowed. No realistic toy guns, no realistic swords.*No marijuana paraphernalia. NO smoking supplies, no advertisement. *You are able to set up for 8:00am, and can begin to do business before, during and after the parade. You are required to remain open until 8:00pm. *You are responsible for power, garbage removal, shelter. *You have a space of 10'x 10'. Please be aware of the size limitations!*Food Vendors are required to display their State of Vermont license at all times. *Please be respectful at all times. This is a family friendly event, with a long history of great crowds. Lets keep it that way!We reserve the Right to Refuse Registration to Anyone. You will be refunded your registration fee in this circumstance only. Details: Saturday July 5th, Brandon Vt.             Be in place and stationary by 8:00am.             Please be open for business on or before 10:00am.             You are expected to keep your site open from the time you open until the time the fireworks start at dusk (8:00pm).             You are welcome to remain open until the fireworks are over!This is a heavily advertised event and you can expect to be very busy. The  AMAZING instructor, Jake Jacobs, will be doing her thing for the 13th summer with Brandon Rec.ALL 2024 SESSIONS AT BRANDON INN POOLJune 23 - June 26 (Mo, We, Th, Fr)July 14 - July 16 (Mo, Tu, We. Th)August 4 - August 7  (Mo, Tu, We. Th)THIS JUST IN!  Thanks to the generosity of Nifty Thrifty, and the Foley Tea Room, Brandon Residents will be swimming lessons will be free in 2025!!  Adjustments will post as credits that members can apply at check-out.Levels and times belowFamily/Tadpole & Frog Group: 12:15– 12:45 (limited to 10 participants)For preschoolers with a parent or other adult helper assisting in the water. These “teams” participate in games and activities that teach basic skills like bubble blowing, alternating arm strokes, alternating kick and submerging. Children and parents learn to be safe around the water and children develop comfort in the water. There is no prerequisite.Jacobs Level I/Seahorse: 10:00 – 10:30 (limited to 8 participants)For young children (ages 5-7) and/or novices who are ready to begin swim instruction. These children are able to follow directions and work independently with an instructor in the water. Focus is on learning to enjoy and be safe in a water environment, developing comfort in the water, basic swim skills like bubble blowing, alternating arm strokes, flutter kicking and submerging. There is no prerequisite for participation in this level. (This is similar to Red Cross Level 1)Jacobs Level II/Turtle: 10:30 - 11:00 (limited to 10 participants)For swimmers who are able to follow directions and work independently with an instructor in the water and have developed comfort and basic skills in the water. These swimmers are already comfortable fully submerging, can blow bubbles and control their breathing and, with assistance, can float on both their fronts and backs. Focus is on learning to float without support, coordinating a swim stroke with breath control and development of propelling swim strokes. (Roughly equivalent to Red Cross Level 2)Jacobs Level III/Fish:  11:00 – 11:30 (limited to 10 participants)For swimmers who know how to safely enter and exit the water, can fully submerge and blow bubbles, float on front and back without assistance and swim short distances. Focus is on breath control and rhythmic breathing, rolling front to back and back to front, coordinating breathing with more effective crawl stroke, learning back crawl, dolphin kick, treading water and introduction of some basic safety skills. Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Played as doubles or singles.

Pick-up basketball has a strong tradition here in the '733.  Thanks to partnerships with the Otter Valley Unified Union School District, the gymnasiums at The Neshobe School and Otter Valley Middle/High Schools have been made available for adults to play competitive pick-up basketball.  Good sportsmanship and great hoops await you.  To play, you must complete the free registration (insurance waiver) to sign-up for the game(s)  that work for you.

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Outdoor Art Camp with Josh Hummel Adventure Photographer! - 2025 Summer
Campers will bring the outside into the art studio to create their own assortment of natural art supplies! While gaining inspiration from the outdoors, we will explore the creative process of using materials found in nature. We will be learning and experimenting with natural pigments from plants and minerals to make inks and paints. Using local clay, we will create vessels for our eco-art supplies and crafting sticks to use as pens and paint brushes. Campers will experience the art of letting go by creating ephemeral pieces of art that may be naturally weathered back into their environment.Max Participants: 13Activity held 7/28-8/1 9am-12pm at Estabrook
 
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM    Youth Cheer! - Pee Wee Summer Cheer Camp
Cheer is more than just pumping up a crowd! Join Coach Robin and Lexi with the Brandon Rec for a fun yet challenging Cheer program. We will work on skills to get ready to perform a competition routine as well as support our local youth sports teams during the Basketball season. This program has it all, cheers, dancing, jumps, stunting and tumbling. During winter months we will also Cheer at home games for Otter Valley's JV boys and Girls Basketball teams.Summer programs will work on the same skills to build up to when our full season starts.

Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Played as doubles or singles.
